1st FOODSEG symposium
The first FOODSEG Symposium was held in Berlin, Germany, together with our host Freie Universität Berlin (Prof. Jürgen Zentek).
It attracted more than 90 experts form the different fields along the food chain. Exchanges of know-how and research ideas showed a high relevance of food safety and quality within the European Union.
The symposium promoted and communicated several EU FP7 projects in the field of food safety and presented the work and results of the FOODSEG working groups.
Presentation of projects:
"PROMISE" is a research project with the objective to assess common food safety threats and hence to protect the European consumer (www.promise-net.eu)
"SATIN" - Satiety control through food structures made by novel processing (www.satin-satiety.eu)
